Festival of World Literature Starts on Monday!

The sixth Festival of World Literature will be held from 2nd of September till September 8 in Zagreb and Split, at various locations (in Zagreb locations are: Kino EuropaStudio of the Modern Gallery “Josip Račić” and Boogie Club).

During the last years, the Festival of World Literature became, not only by the choice of guests and the number of programs, but also by the attendance, one of the most important literary festivals in Croatia as well as in the wider area. Slowly, it’s becoming one of the most prominent cultural festivals in Croatia. The aim of the Festival is to create a platform that will bring together and put in dialogue the best writers of world and country literary scene, raising awareness of books and the importance of reading and presenting new and valuable titles.

Like every year, the Festival is a host to guests from all over the world, from neighboring countries to far Australia, South America, Africa and, of course, Europe. Festival will have participants from seventeen countries around the world who will take part in fifty different programs. Along with writers and moderators, as well as always, artists and musicians are also involved.
