The alt pop duo Auguste rose with the new wave of local singer songwriters a few years back and have won the audiences over with their positive energy that spreads trough their performances and songs, be them about lost love, finding yourself, enjoying life or dealing with existential problems. The girls are promoting their debut album Sve Što je Nekada Bilo Važno (Everything That Used to be Important) for the first time in Zagreb.

Brijačnica is a brand new two day festival that gathers regional rock/post rock/alt/punk bands. For it’s opening night it brings us a mix of veteran and up and coming bands from the scene including Majke, Repetitor, Disciplin A Kichme and Superoperater. For anyone looking for fast rhythms, heavy riffs and good old headbanging rock.

The godfather of Trip hop presents his latest project that he started after moving to Berlin. Skilled Mechanics is a collaborative project that allows the producer and vocalist to work with many different artists, while at the same time pushing his unique vocal talents to the forefront. A practice he implemented for the first time on his 2014 album Adrian Thaws.

The City of Zagreb, in association with Chinese Embassy, is preparing a celebration of Chinese New Year on the main square. Terracotta army has been set up on the square earlier this week in preparations for the party. The celebration will have all the famous elements of their festivities like lanterns, dragons, traditional dancing… The new year is in reign of the Monkey.

LEMMY IN MEMORIAM
Hard Place club

Motorhead fans are still mourning Lemmy Kilmaster’s passing. The leader of the cult band was, to many, the embodiment of a rock. Hard Place is honoring him with a tribute night that starts from 8 pm with a documentary about the band and interviews with Lemmy until 9pm. Different musicians that are also fans will play Motorhead covers, lead by Broken Rockers tribute band. The entry fee is 20 kn and all the profits go to supporting cancer patients, the disease that took Lemmy.
