Zagreb is joining the celebration of International Dance Day today, April 29th, with a dancing flash mob on ban Jelacic square. The mob gathers at 5:05 pm on the square and will dance three choreographies people have practiced over YouTube videos and on organized practice runs throughout the week.
Before the flash mob event, Erasmus students from all over Europe will perform a street show under the Urban Youth program, showcasing their talents in dancing, singing, playing instruments, breakdancing, beatboxing, freestyling, acrobatics…starting at 4:30 pm.
Dancing flash mob is just the start of the dancing extravaganza. After the participants have danced their choreographies, everybody is welcomed to join in with any dance they like. The International Dance Day program ends with a special Street Salsa show opened to public from 6 pm until midnight.
