2Cellos and Best Croatian Orchestras to Perform on Zagreb Classic Festival

King Tomislav square has been undergoing an overall renovation for the last few months, the first one in a hundred years, and to celebrate its grand re-opening the City of Zagreb has organized a series of free classical concert on it.

Zagreb Classic is a completely new festival that will showcase some of the best orchestras and philharmonics in country, as well as few of our own classical super-stars (that’s kind of an odd thing to say these days). The highlight of the festival (to those not very keen on classical music) will definitely be a concert by the world famous duo 2Cellos on July 2nd. Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser will, like the rest of the musicians, play a free concert for the city where they started their careers.

The festival starts on June 25th and lasts until July 13th. Performances are scheduled as such:

June 25th
Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian National Television

June 27th
Zagreb Academy Symphony Orchestra and Choir
JOSIP ŠTOLCER SLAVENSKI: RELIGIOPHONY (Symphony of the Orient) for soloists, choir and orchestra
