Šank?! has proven itself as one of the most famous Croatian punk bands of today, always on the front lines of spinning great new releases and introducing street punk to new generations. Šank?! was formed in 2010 and in less than six years of existence, they became an important name on Croatian and regional underground scene. Members of the band have been part of Zagreb’s underground punk and hardcore scene for more than ten years playing in various bands, such as Spierdalaj, No More Idols, Dolibasija and Stronghold. Their experience and knowledge allowed them to create their sound, which is today known as a unique blend of punk-rock, metal, oi! and ska rhythms.
Their music can easily be described as street punk with powerful and socially engaged lyrics which combined with energetic performance makes them one of the best Croatian live underground bands. After a short concert break band rises again on the stage of Tvornica Kulture, on Friday 13th and we can’t expect nothing less than 2 hours of their greatest hits combined from 4 full-length albums. Their first album titled “Grad je naš” was published in 2010 as a free edition and was a beginning of this story, followed by “Priče noćnih tramvaja” in my opinion their best album (for now). The third album named “Treća runda” was released in 2013 and was according to Rolling Stone magazine ranked in the top 10 regional albums in that year. “Naša stvar” is their latest album which is more personal but still quite fast and strong in both, lyrics and melodies.
Support will provide Antitodor, a legendary punk band from Pula, which has been part of the alternative scene for almost 20 years (formed in May 1996). Their lineup changed through the years of existence, but their vocal Zoran Todorović – Todor, veteran of Pula punk scene remains the same. Antitodor plays classic 77 punk-rock with socially engaged lyrics and sing-along melodies.
Show starts at 22 pm and tickets are still available in presale at entrio.hr for 40 HRK. On the concert day, their price will we 50 HRK, and you can buy them only at the club entrance in Šubićeva 2.
