The 6th Zagreb Design Week

The most significant design festival in Croatia – Zagreb Design Week, takes place 7–12 May 2019 at the Hall V of Zagreb’s Nikola Tesla Technical Museum.

The festival was first launched in 2014, it is organised annually at several dozen locations around Zagreb and last year it attracted more than 25 000 visitors. The festival consists of the largest displays on design, the exhibition of universities and schools, conferences, lectures, panel discussions, workshops and portfolio review.  From mass orientated content, through niche design specialized one, to B2B segment, ZGDW is covering all aspects of design.

Each year different theme guides ZGDW, and a different country is in focus. This year’s festival theme is Changing the Game’ and the partner country is Poland, which means that this year’s ZGDW will feature numerous Polish events such as exhibitions The ABC of Polish Design and Urban Prototypes: Polish Projects Reshaping Public Space and a cinematic series on key accomplishments of Polish design. All Polish events at the Zagreb Design Festival 2019 have been organised by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute as part of POLSKA 100 – an international cultural program accompanying the centenary of Poland regaining her independence.
