Beertija bar at Pavla Hatza street 16 is know for its big terrace filled with statues of rock and roll legends, gaining an unofficial title of Zagreb’s little museum of rock. With the summer heats getting higher by the day, the terrace is getting fuller at the same rate, so the folks from Beertija decided to have their own little summer jams before everyone in Zagreb splits for the coast. They’ve called it, well, Summer Yem sessions.
The first two sessions will take place on June 29th and July 1st. The first Summer Yem will feature Guy Blakeslee, frontmen of the cult California band The Entrance, with the company of Paz Lenchantin (Pixies, ex- A Perfect Circle, ex- Zwan) and Derek James (Christopher Owens, ex- Girls), who are all preparing for their European tour, promoting Blakeslee latest album Ophelia Slowly.
On July 1st the stage is reserved for NLV, a young band from Pula who’s debut EP released last year was one of the best surprises on the scene, entering Rolling Stone’s top 10 regional releases 2015. The music is genuine and rich with a unique voice from Nikol Čaćić. Highly recommended if you want to spend your Friday over a few drinks and smooth music.
All concerts are free and start at 9pm.
