The sweetest festival in town proudly returns to the Square of Ban Josip Jelačić, where the 5th edition of the Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest – a festival of coffee and chocolate, will take place between February 11th and 14th. The festival will, therefore, celebrate its mini anniversary in the place where it all began, and this year, due to great audience interest, it will also take place at several other locations in town, including the Food Culture Centre, the Dobra Vina wine – bar and other selected bars, hotels and restaurants.
According to the organiser’s estimates, over the last four years, the Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest was visited by more than half a million people and featured more than one hundred exhibitors from Croatia and abroad, who presented the latest trends in the coffee and chocolate industries. During that period, more than 120 workshops, various lectures and cooking shows were organized, while artists used chocolate as paint and attracted visitors with their artistry. This year will be no different, because whoever visits will have a hard time resisting the temptation to try some of the new and unusual flavours and aromas, and indulge in the sweetest of pleasures whilst having great fun at the same time. At this year’s edition of the Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest visitors will have the opportunity to taste the first Croatian chocolate boasting an ecological certificate, and become familiar with the flavours of raw chocolate and gluten and lactose-free chocolate products. Anyone yearning for new knowledge can partake in making edible Valentine’s Day gifts and trying their hand at the unusual recipes from the “Jedozovni duo” blog at the Food Culture Centre. Zagreb’s restaurants will offer many other extraordinary blends of various foods. Whatever you choose you will not be making a mistake, and the festival will most likely open new chocolate horizons for you.
The organiser of the Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest is the Event Factory (Tvornica događanja d.o.o.), and the festival is taking place under the auspices of the City of Zagreb and the Zagreb Tourist Board.
