From November 28, 2019, till January 1, 2020, the Strossmayer Square in Zagreb will host about thirty restaurants and creative bars offering incredibly delicious flavors from all over the world prepared by experienced Chefs as well as food enthusiasts. After 7 successful Fuliranje events at Zagreb Advent, hopefully the eighth edition will equally delight all visitors who stop by to ‘gourmingle’.
If your are interested in Istrian specialities, such as succulent ‘ombolo’ or Istrian homemade sausages, you will hang around Fermaj Tovara, B.A.B. Piantina and Vodnjanka Restaurants. However, if you prefer Dalmatian specialities, you will enjoy traditional Croatian pit-roasted lamb at Opat from beautiful Croatian island Kornati. There are two more ‘islanders’ from Croatian coast: Biomania from the Bol island, first organic street food, who used to be extremely popular during the summer season at Zlatni rat, the most beautiful Croatian beach. Black Pepper crew comes from the island of Hvar and they are bringing their invigorated, powerful dishes flavored with southern temperament. Market by T&T, besides their planet-famous street ‘sarma’, will surprise you with new twists of traditional dishes. El Toro remains authentic offering their Latin American passionate flavors. Wurst Bar and Berlin, as well as the Sausage Institute by Mate Janković, promises you juicy, fragrant and everything but ordinary sausages.
Rougemarin and Submarine have long been synonyms for excellent street food delicacies. You’ll be singing ‘Let it snow, let it snow’, while diving in snowy German dumplings at Sljeme winter house. If you don’t want to experiment but enjoy tasty, high quality ‘usuals’, Čiketina brings various variations of chicken. Munchy is waiting for you with fried salty-sweet wraps. The Garden Bar & Kitchen has opted for a delicious mix: from smoked pork hocks to beyond hot dogs for all veggie fans. Of course, other winter houses have a nice range of vegetarian and vegan dishes, but we can’t give everything away.
The world-famous TasteAtlas arrives at Fuliranje for the first time and they will present scents and flavors of Italy and Portugal at Pastel de TasteAtlas. Lumperaj is cooking something sweet & salty, as well as Mason Burgers & Staff and GoodFood who’s surprises will blow your mind, as always. Bagua invites you to “pull them by the tail” or grab their Granular ciabatta. Kikkoman and Tabasco will make sure that the salty treats have an even richer flavor, but first coffee so illy will make sure we all have enough caffeine in our bloodstreams.
You’ll need a short break from eating, we suggest to stop by Samsung Holiday House or capture your magic moments at Fuliranje in one of our photo points: Jamnica, Radio 101 and many others. Coca-Cola will provide sparkly moments, amazing unusual beverages that match with unusual food flavors will be served by Gin3 Spirits, Gingle Bells, Rakijarnica, Molekular bar by Mangosta and A most unusual gin garden by Botanica: gins, cocktails. brandies and punch, whatever your heart desires, and Jerusalem Ormož will take care of all sorts of mulled and fresh wine options. Fuliranje traditionally has its trademark festival beer, which you can try only at Stross Square, special delivery brewed by The Garden Brewery.
Mini and maxi fritters, cakes, churros, Floating islands, trdelnik or ‘chimney cake’, fruity and chocolate dumplings are only some of the sweets and treats you can find in our Sweet Lair prepared by: Le Kolač, Nonina tajna, Trdelnik and Chiquita Churrosita.
