Medvedgrad fortress overlooking Zagreb, with its stone walls, small intricate pathways, towers and damp cellar rooms, is the perfect setting for medieval reenactments and fairs. This Saturday’s fair proved it. Knights, jesters, maidens, decadent nobles, dark queens and witches roamed Medvedgrad throughout the day, with duels, feasts, displays of archery skills and musical acts entertaining visitors from Zagreb and Zagorje.
