Get to know the program of the eighth edition of the festival recently known as ‘Day D’, which has a new format and a new name ‘PLAN D’!
The Festival, organized by the Croatian Designers’ Society in partnership with the Technical Museum Nikola Tesla, will be held next week, from September 27 to October 1, 2017, in the area behind the Technical Museum.
The main theme for this instance of Plan D is Techno-optimism / Techno-pessimism and the program includes several domestic and international exhibitions, lectures, workshops and performances.
Exhibitions:
- Main Exhibition: Techno-optimism / Techno-pessimism
A curated exhibition that will present a design that explores the relationship between technology and society through different media and strategies.
- International Exhibition Of Young Authors
The aim is to present the diversity of design positions, approaches and practices in the theme of ambivalent human relationships and contemporary technologies.
- Accompanying Exhibition: Experimental Publishing
Examines the processes and possibilities of alternative publishing, addressing the different technological, political and economic settings of different publishing systems.
- Guest Exhibition: How To Do Things With Objects – Assignments In Design Education
Fourteen tasks paired with fourteen items that visitors can solve – listen, watch, do!

A workshop – ‘Ivona Petrov & Uroš Krčadinac: Geoglyphs Of Zagreb’ will be held on Thursday 28th (11 AM to 4 PM) and the evening of Saturday 30th (8:15 PM to 9 PM) will be reserved for a musical performance: ‘Nothing More Works: Solutions And Problems In The Field Of Extra Tonal Composition’.
