Zagreb Film Festival celebrates its ‘sweet sixteen’ this year with over 100 film titles in 12 program sections. The festival will be held from 11 to 18 November at eight Zagreb venues (old venues- cinemas Europa and Tuškanac, Museum of Contemporary Art, Müller Hall, and F22 – New Academy Scene and two new venues- Dubrava Public University and Travno Culture Centre). ZFF this year travels to record-breaking 15 Croatian cities and 2 ‘SOS Children Villages’.
The Main Program features over 4o films competing for the Golden Pram, Golden Bicycle, HT Audience Award and Best Youth Film in the PLUS program. “In addition to the usual film side programs, this year the Festival showcases first films by Czech directors. Of course, there are also a number of workshops, lectures, panels and different opportunities to meet professionals” says the director of ZFF Boris T. Matić and highlights that one of this year’s programs is entirely devoted to the importance of film theaters.
