The ‘Open Square Day‘, organized for the sixth consecutive year by the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, will take place this Saturday, September 28, 2019 with start at 11 am in front of the building of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb.
This year’s ‘Open Square Day’ program includes: Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, University of Zagreb with its components – Academy of Dramatic Arts and Music Academy, Croatian Folk Dance Ensemble Lado, Croatian School Museum, School of Applied Arts and Design, Museum of Arts and Crafts and host City of Zagreb. The cultural program that will transform the Square in front of the Croatian National Theater building into the large open-air stage will last till 1:30 pm.
The program will start with the sound of Verdi’s opera performed by the Opera Choir of the Croatian National Theater and apart from several opera performances of the choir, visitors will also have an opportunity to see an excerpts of the couple of plays including The Nutcracker. The performance of the Lado Ensemble will start at 11:55 am, Croatian School Museum will offer free entrance from 11 am till 1 pm while the Academy of Dramatic Arts offers a free entrance to the exhibition of Luka Pešun.
