Croatia’s biggest open-air festival INmusic #14 will take place at the Isle of Youth at Zagreb’s lake Jarun from June 24th to June 26th 2019. The three-day festival gets better each year and features a number of stages dedicated to specific music genres like heavy metal, electronica, and indie rock. This year’s headliners are the rock icons and one of the most influential bands of our time – The Cure.
Following The Cure’s 40th anniversary celebrations, the band confirmed plans for a festival tour in 2019 and decided to stop at INmusic #14 which will also mark The Cure’s first ever live performance in Croatia. The Cure is undoubtedly one of the most successful alternative rock bands of all time – with over 27 million albums sold, 13 studio albums released and over 30 singles to date. Their 1989 album Disintegration secured The Cure with the title of one of the best British bands in the last 50 years.
INmusic festival organization team stressed the importance of the announced headline show by The Cure at the upcoming festival edition: “INmusic festival has been steadily growing and nurturing its independent festival reputation but never compromising on hosting artists whose music shaped our world and made a cultural mark on generations. In this respect, a decade long dream has been fulfilled – to welcome The Cure to Croatia and to celebrate along with the band 40 years of truly pioneering music.”
Out of all the other artists that will perform at this year’s INmusic #14 it’s definitely important to mention American singer-songwriter who won audiences worldwide with the hit single “Lost On You” Laura Pergolizzi, better known as LP.
LP will head to INmusic festival #14 as part of her summer tour promoting her newly released fifth studio album Heart To Mouth. Known for her engaging and powerful live performances as well as the unique mixture of her expressive vocals, whistling melodies and the ukulele as her signature sound LP has performed at the world’s biggest festivals such as Coachella, Osheaga Festival and Mad Cool Festival, and now she’s coming to Croatia’s INmusic.
One of the best UK’s best live acts, indie heroes Foals are also joining The Cure and LP at INmusic #14 main stage. After confirming the release of their fifth studio album in 2019, the band have announced a selected list of festivals to appear in 2019, including their return to the Main stage of INmusic festival #14 as they already performed at INmusic in 2014. Four great and critically acclaimed albums and hundreds of energetic live performances have earned Foals a number of prestigious nominations and awards, as well as the status of one of the most coveted artists to be featured on major rock festivals the world over.
Out of the dozens of others great artists to perform at this year’s INmusic, for now we’ll mention Kurt Vile, one of the contemporary indie rock most critically acclaimed figures who will be accompanies by The Violators, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls and Swedish indie pop band who won audiences worldwide with their hit single Young Folks – Peter Bjorn and John.
