ZET Declares Free Public Transportation During the Advent Period

Free public transportation for everyone, every weekend from December until January 7th!

For few years in a row now, The City of Zagreb has been awarded the title of the best European Advent destination for its diverse and rich program of events. To complete the winter fairy tale experience, the city mayor Milan Bandić decided to ensure the free city transit in ZET buses and trams for everyone. To be more specific, the transportation will be free of charge every weekend from Friday noon until Sunday midnight.

Besides buses and trams, because of the increased demand, visitors will also be able to use the funicular free of charge until midnight to go to the Upper Town every day during the Advent period. Reduced amount of public transportation charges will be returned by the increased influx of people into the city, as mayor explained earlier this year.

Will the parking in suburbs also be free to decrease the traffic in the city center, just like the last year, has not been officially confirmed yet. Zagreb Holding says that there is no reason that this year should be any different from the last one – with ensured free parking on the east and south side of Zagreb Fair & the turnstile of trams in Dubrava and Gojka Šuška avenue.
