The city of Zagreb prepared for the broadcasting of all games of European Handball Championship on the main city square along with rich programme that includes concerts.
The Championship is being held in four Croatian cities – Zagreb, Varaždin, Poreč & Split. Zagreb’s mayor Milan Bandić called out the citizens to support and respect players and teams during the Championship.
“With the best intention to show hospitality to all domestic as well as foreign players and fans, the Ban Josip Jelačić square will be following and broadcasting all the matches of the Championship. Except for the match projections, the fan zone will offer interesting content for all the fans and those who want to be a part of the biggest handball event in Europe.” said Milan Bandić and added “I would love for all of us to come together, watch and enjoy the sport, and hang out with the positive energy that this sport offers. Seeya on the main square!”
Few matches were already played on Friday and Saturday, and the program will continue until Wednesday 17th. The program at Ban Jelačić square begins every day at 5 pm, with matches being played and broadcasted at 6.15pm and 8.30pm.
