One of the leading sopranos of our time, Krassimira Stoyanova is coming to Lisinski Concert Hall on December 22, as a part of the Saturday at Lisinski program.
Stoyanova made her professional debut at the Sofia Opera House in 1995. After that, she rose to fame with her interpretations of the Italian, particularly Verdian opera repertoire, but also with a number of other leading operatic roles. She has sung at the world’s greatest theatres (the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House, London’s Covent Garden, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Bastille in Paris, the State Operas in Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden and Zürich), and her artistic excellence earned her the title of Kammersängerin of the Vienna State Opera, which only the greatest opera singers have the honor to bear.
She owes her success to being highly adaptable and often learning operatic roles on the fly. She herself says: “When I’ve had to debut some of my hardest roles, it’s been with very little rehearsals and no stage rehearsals. I think when I write my memoir, I’ll definitely write about that,” she told OperaWire in an exclusive interview.
The concert will be held at 7 pm, conductor of the concert is Tonči Bilić and opera diva Krassimira Stoyanova will be accompanied by the Croatian Radio and Television Orchestra. Tickets for the price ranging from 130 to 210 HRK can be bought at the Lisinski Concert Hall or online.
