The biggest annual event in design industry, Zagreb Design Week, had started on May 3rd in Lauba gallery and Hauba, industrial warehouse turned club next to it. The special focus on this Week, which is opened until May 8th, is food design and all adjacent design based on dining. A new program was introduced this year, called Auto(r), and it examines the car design industry, with special focus on green cars.
Partners of this Zagreb Design Week are Nordic countries presenting their furniture design, with designers from those countries giving lectures during the Week, as well as many others. Each day there are networking brunches with the intent to form businesses partnerships, showrooms, exhibitions, panels, fashion shows, design markets and after show parties.
