Croatia has defeated European Champions Spain with 23:19, in a tense match on Thursday night and won the Group B at the World Men’s Handball Championship 2019.
Around 8000 Croatian fans were said to be in the stands on match and support the most important game for Croatian ‘Cowboys’ in this year’s Championship so far, as this win means they carry 4 points forward into the main round. Marin Šego made some crucial saves and once again led the team towards the win together with Željko Musa, who was named the player of the match with 6 goals and 2 assists.
The next game is on schedule this Sunday, when ‘Cowboys’ meet Brazil.
