Once again this summer, the Zagreb City Museum offers its fellow citizens and tourists a cycle of art and creative workshops as a part of the thematic exhibition Zagreb / City. People. Life. The workshops will be held in a period from 30 July to 14 August, 2019, three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) from 5:30 pm till 7 pm.
The exhibition Zagreb / City. People. Life. will present a segment of life of Zagreb and its inhabitants with the selection of the city’s visuals and locals’ portraits from the Zagreb City Museum paintings corpus, which testifies about the cultural and historical heritage of the city.
The workshops are designed so that the participants first go through the exhibition and meet with a work of certain artists, portraits, their destinies, and so on. Then, mentor will introduce participants to the technique of making a portrait. Workshops participants will enrich their knowledge of compositional principles and proportions of human faces, and will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of art history.
