The Embassies of Canada, France, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Kingdom of Morocco and Switzerland, the Wallonie Bruxelles International, the French Institute in Croatia and the Croatian PEN Center announce a joint celebration of the International Francophonie Day on Wednesday, March 20, at 5 PM , at the French Institute in Croatia (Preradovićeva 5 , Zagreb).
This year, the celebration honors contemporary French-poetry with a program open to a wide audience:
- at 5 PM there will be held a poetry performance of Belgian poet Laurence Vielle, with the possibility of public participation during which will the French words that exist in the Croatian language will be emphasized,
- at 5:30 PM, the Ambassadors of the Franco-speaking countries will read the song of their own choice, after which the students of the bilingual grammar school will present works from a poetry workshop led by French poet Lou Raoul,
- at 6 PM, a round table on contemporary French poetry will gather five poets, who will participate in this years Goranovo proljeće Festival – Laurence Vielle (Belgium), Baptiste Gaillard (Switzerland), Florence Pazzottu, Lou Raoul, Jean-Pascal Dubost (France) – with moderator Vanda Mikšić.
