The Klovićevi Dvori gallery are hosting an opened exhibition ‘The challenge of modern art: Zagreb – Vienna around 1900.’ at which the essential works of Austrian and Croatian artists from the period of Art Nouveau in Vienna and Zagreb will be displayed. This exhibition symbolises the beginning of the Culture Year between Croatia and Austria.
Croatian institutions are preparing around 60 cultural events in Austria from varied areas of art, and it will last throughout the whole year with focus on women’s arts and creations.
In the coming projects, spotlight will be given to female writers, particularly those whose creations were written or translated into German. Special music cycle will be dedicated to composers Dora Pejačević and Louise Erdödy Lios, and an exhibition is planned for influential Croatian painter Nasta Rojc.
The official opening for Croatia – Austria Culture Year was held in Vienna on February 14th, 2017.
