Two exhibitions of Croatian artists were opened at this year’s Milan Art Week, popularly called miart, that is being held from April 1st till 7th in the galleries all over Milan.
First of them is a group exhibition Loose Ends, opened at Renata Fabbri Arte Contemporanea gallery (1. 4. – 18. 5. 2019.) that presents works of Vlatka Horvat, Dino Zrnec, Ištvan Išt Huzjan and Sophie Ko, curated by Branka Benčić. The other is solo exhibition by Igor Eškinja – Meditations on the Horizon, opened at Federico Luger (FL) Gallery, from April 2nd.
The exhibition Loose Ends takes form through unstable and temporary performative strategies of improvisation, replacement, repetition, or reconfiguration. As the title refers to the unsolved or unfinished, open-ended and vague, the exhibition unfolds as a set of provisional dialogues, echoing a suspended meaning.
