Famous Writer David Mitchell is Coming to Croatia

The acclaimed award-winning author of Cloud Atlas and The Bone Clocks David Mitchell is coming to Zagreb and Dubrovnik from September 21st till 23rd.

Mitchell has published seven novels so far, two of which, number9dream and Cloud Atlas, were shortlisted for the Booker Prize. He was born in England but moved to Hiroshima, Japan where he taught English to technical students for eight years. He has an M.A. in Comparative Literature.

Famous writer will spend two days in Zagreb and one in Dubrovnik. On Friday at 6 pm, at auditorium Gorgona at Zagreb’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Mitchell will read his unpublished stories and answer questions to the audience. This will be followed by the screening of the film Cloud Atlas.

On Saturday (22.9.) David Mitchell will talk to Turkish journalist and writer Ece Temelkuran about literature and politics and politics of literature., at 8 pm, this time at the club Booksa. While on Sunday, the author plans to visit Dubrovnik and in Lazareti at 8 pm discuss literature and travel with Miljenka Buljević.

The Zagreb readership will also be able to personally meet the author at the books signing that will be held at the bookstore Vuković & Runjić on Saturday, 22 September, from 1 pm to 2 pm.
