Hrki – the Mascot of the Next European Universities Games Zagreb Presented in Rijeka

The 4th European Universities Taekwondo Championship has finally concluded on 13th November 2015 with an exciting Closing Ceremony held at Athletic Hall Kantrida. Over 150 participants from 48 Universities from 16 countries took part in this year’s edition of the event.

Medals and awards were presented by Mr Patrik Perosa – EUSA Sports Director, Mr Ceslovas Garbaliauskas – member of EUSA Executive Committee, Mr Fatih Catikkas – Technical Delegate, Mrs Abosede Ajayi – member of EUSA Medical Commission and Mr Viktor Moretti – Vice-president of Rijeka University Sports Association.

The Best University award was given to the University of Minho. The award was presented by Mrs Snjezana Prijic Samarzija, Vice-rector of the University of Rijeka and Mr Ceslovas Garbaliauskas, a member of EUSA Executive Committee.

The EUSA flag was passed to Mr Mario Santos, representative of Federação Académica do Desporto Universitário, Portugal. The next EUC will take place in Coimbra, Portugal in 2017. All the teams are warmly welcomed to join the next 5th European Universities Taekwondo Championship.

During the official program, participants had a chance to meet Hrki, mascot of the next European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016.  This event also announced the taekwondo competition in Rijeka next year under the EUG 2016.
