Mostar Sevdah Reunion is finally coming back to Zagreb! The so- called ‘kings of sevdah‘ are going to perform on Saturday, September 22 in Zagreb’s Boogaloo.
With their unique performance style, specific combination of authentic Bosnian-Herzegovinian sevdah singing and jazz, blues and ethno music, Mostar Sevdah Reunion keeps surprising the audience. Their music opus almost entirely consists of sevdah songs but in modern arrangement.
Mostar Sevdah Reunion released their first album in 1999 and since then they’ve performed at numerous jazz festivals and concert halls all over the world. These include Queen Elizabeth Hall and Barbican Center in London, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Palace of Art in Budapest, North Sea Jazz Festival, Nice Jazz Festival and many more. There are also four documentary films recorded so far about this band!
