Spectacle for 50,000 People: 2 Cellos, Oliver Dragojevic and Zucchero Thrilled Zagreb!

Trams stopped running yesterday when the rivers of people started walking towards Tomislav Square… Old, young, big, small, they all headed to the concert of the famous duo, 2 Cellos, and their show that they graciously gave to the city of Zagreb as a part of their 5th birthday celebration. The big event was also a part of the Zagreb Classics programme at Tomislav Square.
The program began with a performance of Italian musicians The Leading Guy. A few minutes after 9:30 pm Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser stepped on the stage and opened the concert with a song Astor Piazzolla – “Oblivion”, followed by ultimate hits “Thunderstruck,” Smooth Criminal”, “Viva la Vida”, “Mombasa”, “Voodoo people’, and others.

Somewhere in the middle of the 29-song-long concert, Italian star Zucchero came to the stage! In a fantastic synergy, these three incredible performers played “Cosi Celeste”, “Young Turk Reggiano”, and probably the most famous Zucchero’s hit – “Baila Morena”!

The audience was thrilled, and the atmosphere became even hotter when Oliver Dragojevic came up and started singing his famous hits – ‘Galeb i ja’, ‘Lipa moja’ and ‘Sto to bijese ljubav’. Around 50.000 visitors sang along during the entire concert, after which a few thousand of them stayed at Tomislav Square to dance the night away at the party underneath the stars, with local DJs.
