Hip hop and Dancehall dancers in Zagreb are closing the season with a bang this Friday, as the best of them battle it out on the dancefloor. Spread the Culture is a one day event that gathers Zagreb’s best hip hop dancers from a variety of crews who will start the night of with some of their favorite routines as a warm up to the main event: over fifty dancers stepping up to the challenge and showing their best moves in one on one battles.
‘We wanted to round up the year with this. The scene doesn’t get together often enough so this is a good way for us to meet, hang out and see what others have been doing, all with a dose of healthy competition and prizes.’ said Andrea Komusar, one of the organizers, ‘The battles are followed by an after party so dancing will continue trough the night’
The event will be held in Metropolis club, Avenue Dubrovnik 10, with the doors opening at 9 pm and battles starting at 10 pm. Any dancehall or hip hop dancer out there that thinks they have the skill to battle the locals can sign up on the event itself. Registrations close half an hour before the battles start.
