The team of TED enthusiasts that goes under the name TEDxZagreb organizes broadcast of the selected inspirational speeches from the five-day TED Conference 2019 that took place from April 15-19 in Vancouver, Canada. The Zagreb TED event will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2019, from 10 am at the Kaptol Boutique Cinema.
The 2019 theme of TED Conference was ‘Bigger Than Us‘. TED and TEDx events feature short talks and presentations about technology and design, as well as other scientific, cultural, and academic topics, featuring local leaders, inspirational public speakers, change makers and people that make their audiences think.
“Political and technological turbulence over the last few years has had unexpected consequences: it makes us ask for bigger, deeper and more challenging issues. Such as … Where does all this lead? What is really important? Is there anything else I should do? At TED 2019, we join the quest for deeper meaning. We will explore the technologies that inspire miracles and are struggling with superhuman forces and knowledge-created mind that will lead the future as equally as any politician. We are focusing on the design of cities and other powerful human systems that shape our lives and thrill the mind, creativity and most of all, inspire the opportunities that are happening when we are wondering what ideas really are worth fighting for, worth living for” said in the announcement of this year’s conference.
