The 1st HBO Europe Series in Adria Region ‘Success’ is Here

The Croatian-language six-part series Success (Uspjeh) is the first local drama series to come out of HBO Adria. The series will be broadcast on January 6th, 2019 at 8 pm on HBO Europe and since that day one new episode will be broadcast on Sundays in the same term. On HBO GO all of the six episodes will be available from January 6th.

HBO Europe announced the HBO Adria ‘First Draft’ screenwriting contest at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2016 and one of the two projects chosen for further development was this one – Marjan Alčevski’s Success.

The series is directed by Oscar winner Danis Tanović. Alčevski worked on the story development with Johnathan Young and Steve Matthews of London-based HBO Europe and with Ana Balentović, development executive, at Zagreb-based HBO Adria. It was produced by a Zagreb-based production company Drugi Plan.

The filming of Success mostly took place in Zagreb, and lasted from the beginning of March to the end of May. The story follows the intertwining stories of four complete strangers who are bound together irrevocably by a same violent event.

The first episode is already available at HBO Adria YouTube channel and for the rest of them you’ll have to wait till Sunday!
