The thirtieth edition of one of the oldest and one longest-running contemporary music festivals- the Music Biennale Zagreb will be held from 6th to 13th of April next year.
Since 1961 MBZ is the most active and most important festival in Croatia, fully dedicated to contemporary music of all genres. In April every second year,for ten days Zagreb is transforming into cultural center where art and contemporary music lovers from across the region and Europe enjoy to the fullest. The festival program consists of concerts of symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles, experimental music theater project and contemporary dance, jazz, electronic and alternative music. The focus of the 3oth MBZ theme is the City (Space) and Music (Sound).
The Music Biennale Zagreb 2019 will last eight days, it will be held at ten different locations all over the Zagreb (including theaters, concert halls, culture centers and streets), it will include fifty programs featuring four hundred performers!
