From March 31st to April 6th, Zagreb will again become the world capital of guitar. Zagreb Guitar Fest 2019 is bringing fantastic concerts (ALL Stars/ ZGF Street/ ZGF@fter), masterclasses, lectures, international classical guitar competition, orchestral and flamenco workshops.
During one week ZGF will welcome great world-renowned guitarists such as Assad Brothers, Stochelo Rosenberg, Yamandu Costa, Duo Bandini-Chiacchiaretta, Antonio Rey Trio, Aniello Desiderio, Carlo Marchione, Paolo Pegoraro, Brian Head, Mate Matisic, Maroje Brcic, Monika Krajnc Štih, Darko Karajić, Xhevdet Sahatxhija, Pia Gazarek Offermann, Thomas Offermann, Jesse Flowers and many more.
The international classical guitar competition will be held in six categories specified by the participant’s age. Except for the prizes, the winner of VI Category will also join the EuroStrings Exchange Program and work with world-renowned guitarists and present their guitar skills to a wider European audience by holding solo, outreach and chamber concerts at several European guitar festivals. The applications for this contest are open until March 24.
The masterclasses include individual 45 minute classes and will be held by world famous classical guitar players and teachers such as Aniello Desiderio, Brian Head, Carlo Marchione, Pia Offermann and others.
The first two days of the Festival will be dedicated to the guitar, while the other two will be dedicated to a cultural entrepreneurship. For more information about the festival visit their website.
