What Werner Walcker’s organ at Zagreb’s Lisinski Hall can do will be demonstrated by world-renowned top organist, titular organist of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris – Vincent Dubois! Since he took the world’s stage after winning two major international organ competitions, in Calgary and Toulouse, he has become an unavoidable guest at numerous concert venues in Europe, North America, Asia and the Pacific, as well as at numerous international music festivals. And now, he is coming to Zagreb to perform in Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, on January 19.
As a soloist, he has collaborated with several orchestras, such as the Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Gran Canaria and Radio France Philharmonic Orchestras, the French National Orchestra, the orchestras of Philadelphia, Picardie and Brittany.
His appearances have been broadcast by numerous radio stations, among which: Radio France, ORF Radio Vienna, CBC Radio Canada and Australian Radio, as well as American Public Media’s Pipedreams. He teaches master courses at numerous universities (Yale, Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Oberlin College, Baylor, St. Paul, Emor), and he was also appointed visiting artist at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a little over two years ago. He has released several albums, including a CD with Franz Liszt’s organ music. In addition to his extensive concert and teaching engagement, Dubois serves as General Director of Le conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Strasbourg.
