Zagreb Firefighters Celebrate 140th Birthday With a Parade

Zagreb Firefighters will mark their 140th birthday with a parade of the city fire brigades which will take place on Saturday, May 7th from 9 am to 10 am. During that hour, about 2,500 firefighters will march and drive from the central fire station in Savska 1 to Roosevelt Square, then to Marshal Tito Square and Frankopanska street; through Ilica and finally to ban Jelacic Square where they will line up for the citizens and do some fire exercises.

Due the celebration, center of Zagreb will be closed for all motor vehicles and tram. Pedestrians will be able to move through Savska Street, Vodnikova, and Klaiceva streets; on the west side of Marshall Tito Square; Frankopanska street and Ilica (from Frankopanska street) to Ban Jelacic Square.
