Top Music Program at Grič Evenings

One of the most popular summer festivals in Zagreb – Grič evenings once again takes place at gallery Klovićevi Dvori. The 37th festival Grič evenings includes 9 music highlights and hosts  numerous artists who will provide unforgettable experiences to all visitors.

Tonight at 9pm you can enjoy An Evening of Film Music performed by Nino Rota Ensemble from Italy organized in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Institute Zagreb. The Nino Rota Ensemble, whose repertoire is dominated by film music, was formed in 1995 and now includes 4 musicians : Rosa Sorice (vocal), Angela Benelli (violin), Federica Torbidoni (flute) and Deborah Vico (piano and arrangements).  Some of the famous works they prepared for tonight include Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, My Heart Will Go On from Titanic, themes from Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s list, Roberto Benigni’s La vita è bella and much more.

On Sunday, July the 8th, an impressive percussion concert by Sudar Percussion group will be held. The Sudar Percussion Ensemble consists of 6 musicians who all have a specific and unique approach to the works of classical and popular music. On Sunday they’ll perform music of the great Jean-Michel Jarre .

Two days later, on Tuesday July the 10th, famous Hungarian violinist, well-known to the Zagreb audience, Roby Lakatos will perform with his ensemble. Lakatos is equally adept to performing classical music, jazz and and the Hungarian folk music.He is a universal musician who has brilliant technique that makes him one of the best violinists in the world.
